Mycotoxins

Mycotoxins are secondary metabolites of moulds, growing on numerous foodstuffs such as cereals, dried fruits, nuts and spices. Contaminated crops are toxic to animals and humans in feed and food, and therefore a major health issue for the consumer. To ensure feed and food safety, over 100 countries have established mycotoxins regulations, for which reliable and efficient mycotoxin testing solutions are paramount.
To support the screening and detection of mycotoxins, we provide a range of reference materials, available in neat, incurred matrix, and native/stable isotopically labelled formats. The range includes aflatoxins, fumonisins, trichothecenes and citrinin.
All LGC mycotoxin reference materials are accompanied by Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) containing information including certified values, characterisation method and traceability information.
