The samples contain 1% sodium fluoride. Issued quarterly. Laboratories are requested to analyse the specimens, providing information regarding qualitative and quantitative data. Participants are also required to make suitable comments regarding the interpretation and advice offered. The data reported and interpretation is assessed by an independent panel of experts and scores awarded. Comments are then included in the final reports. The aim of this sample is educational.
