Ten organic analytes are provided for qualitative identification. This sample is designed to test the ability of laboratories to identify organic compounds via GCMS analysis. Participants are provided with a solution containing ten organic compounds. The test requires that participants identify the ten compounds present. Results returned will be identified as satisfactory or unsatisfactory. Participants are also provided with a solvent blank. The choice of the ten organic compounds is designed to avoid the formation of reaction by-products.
