Safety data sheet explained
A Safety Data Sheet (also known as PSDS, Product Safety Data Sheet) is intended to provide relevant individuals with details of the correct procedures for handling or working with a particular chemical or substance in a safe manner. The actual format may vary according to the specific requirements of a country’s regulatory bodies, but an SDS should contain all the necessary physical data about the material or substance, for example melting point, boiling point and flash point, along with other relevant information such as storage, disposal, toxicity, health effects and immediate first aid.
To enable the safe handling and use of the LoGiCal range of reference materials, comprehensive Safety Data Sheets that meet the requirements of individual countries are supplied with all our products. These will normally be available in multiple languages.
