Quality Control Materials

LGC offer Quality Control materials that can be used for a number of different purposes:

• Guarantee the validity of the results obtained during routine analysis

• Staff training

• Method validation

• Monitoring/Validation of corrective actions

• Monitoring on-going method performance using control charts

Our Quality Control materials are Surplus Proficiency Testing samples. They come with a Statement of Measurement that provides all relevant information such as the nature of the sample, the analytes, the assigned value for each analyte, etc.

In order to ensure the provision of trustworthy Quality Control materials, Proficiency Testing samples that are eligible for QC are decided on a case by case basis. Each individual analyte is also assessed and only those which meet the performance criteria are displayed on the Statement of Measurement.
